Registration

Please sign up for a Preview UC session or College Close-Up online. Here, we will automatically find dates that allow you to combine both sessions on the same day, should you want to coordinate the two visits. Please note that not all College Close-Ups are offered every day and registration is required for both Preview UC and College Close-Ups. An e-mail including directions and parking information will be sent to you to confirm your registration.

Preview UC

This program is designed to answer general questions about UC, the admissions process, financial aid, housing, student life, and more. We encourage you to attend a College Close-Up on the same day in order to tailor the visit to your interests and needs.

Preview UC sessions include:

• a 30-minute group session with an admissions officer
• a 75-minute walking tour led by a student tour guide
  

There is also an option to visit the UC college that interests you on the same day as your Preview UC session (see College Close-Ups below for more information).

Preview UC sessions are held:

October - May

• Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM
  

• Saturdays, 10:00 AM* (except holiday weekends and admissions event days)
  *College Close-Ups are not offered on Saturdays

June - September

• Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM

Transfer students: Attend a Transfer Preview UC session, held on most Fridays at 10:00 AM. Hear from a Transfer and Life-Long Learning Center advisor, then take a campus tour.

College Close-Ups

College Close-Ups allow you to gain a better understanding of the program you are interested in, as well as gather detailed information about the academic requirements and experiential learning components of your major. You may register for a College Close-Up when you register for a Preview UC session.

Each College Close-Up is different, as they are facilitated by the individual colleges, but may include:

• A group session with a college representative 
• A visit to academic facilities or a classroom
  
• An opportunity to speak with current students, faculty, or staff
