Experiential Learning

UC academic programs are designed to help you integrate theory with practice. Our goal is to help you graduate with work experience that will complement your UC degree. Depending on your major, you can take advantage of one or more experiential learning options.

Resources for Experiential Learning at UC

Career Development Center – Provides comprehensive career services for UC students and alumni.

Center for Community Engagement – Organizes experiences such as Alternative Spring Break.

Center for Exploratory Studies – Provides experiences to help UC students decide on a major.

Community-Engaged Learning – Offers service learning opportunities in off-campus settings.

Division of Professional Practice – Advises co-op students and serves as a liaison between students, faculty and co-op employers. Arranges international co-op.

UC International Programs (previously called the Institute for Global Studies and Affairs) – Coordinates study abroad, exchange programs and international scholarships. 

Undergraduate Research – Opportunities within various colleges or through cooperative education, research assistantships or summer research experiences, give students the chance to fit research into their academic careers no matter what their individual needs may be.
