Scholarship Criteria for International Transfer Students

Scholarships are renewed annually for two or three years depending on the academic program. English proficiency tests are not required if students complete UC equivalent English Composition I (ENGL1001) course with a B grade or higher at a regionally accredited US institution. Students studying in the US must earn an Associate's degree to qualify for transfer scholarships.

These criteria and values are subject to change. 

  • $5,000 award: GPA 3.00—3.19* and proven English proficiency of 79-91 TOEFL (internet based) or 6.5 IELTS
  • $10,000 award: GPA 3.20—3.74* and proven English proficiency 92 TOEFL (internet based) and above or 7.0 IELTS
  • $15,000 award: GPA 3.75* and above plus proven English proficiency 92 TOEFL (internet based) and above or 7.0 IELTS and above

*Cumulative GPA is on a 4.0 scale
