Application review begins in mid-October and continues until space is no longer available, which is historically in March.
Cincinnati admits students directly into their major. Some majors are more competitive than others. For those programs, we review all program applicants who have met our December 1 Early Action deadline prior to releasing admissions decisions. Students are offered admission based on the size and quality of the applicant pool. Pooled programs include those in the following colleges:
- College–Conservatory of Music
- College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning
- College of Engineering and Applied Science
- College of Medicine
- College of Nursing
Students who have applied to our most competitive programs can expect to receive an admission decision by the end of January or early February.
Students who have applied to programs other than those listed above will be reviewed as their file is complete and will learn their admission decision in late October/November or within 4 – 6 weeks from the time they completed their application.
Admission decisions will be released on Fridays at 5:00 P.M. EST. Students can log into their status page to view their decision.
