Admission Application Requirements

UC's expansive academic programs accommodate a wide range of student interests and abilities.

Many of these programs are available through a selective admissions process. Admission requirements vary by program, and students are encouraged to consult program outlines and college websites for details before applying.

Please remind your students to type their personal statements and co-curricular activities in a word processor -- and check their spelling! -- then cut and paste their work into the online application.

The University of Cincinnati requires a standardized test score (ACT or SAT) for all incoming freshmen seeking a baccalaureate (four-year) degree. UC has no preference with regard to which standardized test a student takes. Both ACT and SAT are regarded equally.

Sending Your Test Scores

Test scores must be sent to UC directly from the testing agency (test scores are not accepted from the HS transcript). You may select UC as a recipient of your scores by using the codes below when you register for an exam, or you may send scores directly from the ACT website or the SAT website.

Additional Information

If you graduated from high school more than one year before admission, or if you will attend one of UC's open admission colleges (UC Clermont College or UC Blue Ash College) the test is recommended but usually not required.
