Undergraduate Admissions

Admission Requirements

UC's wide-ranging programs accommodate an extensive range of student interests and abilities.

Many of these programs are available through a selective admissions process. Admission requirements vary by program, and students are encouraged to consult program outlines and college Web sites for details before applying.

Applicants to UC are required to earn a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and are expected to have taken a set of courses known as the Ohio Articulation Requirements, including:

  • 4 units of English
  • 3 units of math (4 is highly recommended)
  • 3 units of science
  • 3 units of social studies
  • 5 units of electives*

These requirements will also vary somewhat by program. For example, architecture and engineering programs require additional courses in math, physics or chemistry. Each UC online program description includes specific admission requirements for that program.
