Congratulations and welcome to your new Bearcat Community! You are joining over 44,000 of the most driven and high-achieving students in the country and we can't wait to see what you will be able to accomplish at the University of Cincinnati and beyond!
Congratulations on your admission to Cincinnati!
First, you must take these next few steps before beginning your journey as a Bearcat.
Step 1: Confirm your admission by May 1
Confirming is an important step toward becoming a Bearcat. Completing your Confirmation Form enables you to apply for housing and register for Bearcat Bound Orientation.
Step 2: Apply for financial aid
The FAFSA became available on October 1 and it is important to fill it out as soon as possible. If you have not done so yet, make this a priority! Because some aid programs are awarded on a first-come first-served basis, submission of your FAFSA by December 1 ensures that you receive maximum consideration for need-based aid.
Be sure to connect with the Office of Student Financial Aid if you have any questions.
Step 3: Connect with your Bearcat Community
Use #BearcatsBound to share your news with your family, friends, and the other Bearcats that will be joining you on campus in just a few short months!
Step 3: Apply for housing
The fall housing application will be available in March. The priority deadline is May 5. Students whose permanent residence is farther than 50 miles from Cincinnati's main campus are required to live on campus during their first year. If you are required to live on campus or if you choose to live on campus, you will need to apply by visiting the Housing and Food Services website.
Note: Students must confirm their admission prior to applying for Housing.
Step 5: Register for Orientation
Registration for Bearcats Bound Orientation will begin in April. Bearcats Bound is designed to assist you in making a successful academic and social transition into the University of Cincinnati community. During Orientation, you will also meet with an academic advisor and register for classes.
Note: Students must confirm their admission prior to registering for Orientation.
